Pokemon and Shadow Era cards are of the same size (and thickness).

But the card stock? The card boards in the middle? I think they might be different. SE cards have at least 4 layers in all.

Scratches like you have on Ter Adun are often due to playing them without card sleeves, happens lots with MtG cards. If you opened it like that, then that is kind of weird... but like you said, there may be manufacturing errors.

Even with MtG, there are flukes... Opened a booster pack of that this weekend that had a weird diamond print on the back that classified them as "marked" even though I hadn't even used them yet

The scratches on the adun are on them once the pack was opened, before any actual playing. Some of my cards have those as well. I am personally not so bothered by the scratches since I am going to use the cards for play anyways (sleeved). As Danny suggested, it's likely due to blunt cutting blades.

So the size for SE cards is the same as Pokemon cards? Length wise.
