WTF - Quitting after Round 3

2 games in a row where opponent quits after round 3 and too short for ratings since I had a winning position. This has got to stop. I should gain rating and they should certainly lose rating. Please advise.

They do in fact lose rating, but you shouldn't gain ratings for it. It's the way it is to avoid it being abused.

I think I brought this up before. Yes, they are indeed punished (lose rating) for their action, even if its a DC on their part. But I guess we shouldn't earn rating, although we might say we are in a winning position, but we will never know what would the outcome of the game be, especially if its only in the first 4 turns.

I think the winner should get the rating.

How would someone abuse that? o_O

    How would that even work?

Your QM opponent is randomly selected (maybe I'm wrong here) and after some time the rating difference of the two would be really big, so there is no real gain in winning anymore.

And if someone wants to play his 2nd account up to the "pushed" rating, he should have done that with hist first one anyway.

When your rating gets high enough, you have a pretty hard time getting games which means you can farm your rating up there.
