KA M sey and A1 youanthe invented a new format for tournament games. "COPYRIGHTS" holders are Sey and Youanthe.
It can be simply called "6 points format":
1. One match can last for 2-5 games (it's not a simple Best of 3 or 5). In each game, the starting order is randomly decided.
2. In each game, if a player goes first and wins the game, the player gets 2 points; if a player goes second and wins the game, the player gets 3 points; if a player loses, the player gets 1 point.
3. How to decide the winner: when one player's points reach 6 (meaning 6 or more) as well as more than the other player's points, the player with more points will be the winner. Therefore, when both players have 6 points, they should play one more game to decide the winner.
Since all games are randomly started, players don't need to re-create games. For no deck-lock matches, it also means players can't adjust deck with a knowing starting order.
Winning games with going second is rewarded more points, so even a player is lucky to get two games going first, he can't ensure the win by winning both games.
How do you feel about this new format? Any comments and suggestions?
