    You can pick any regional you want, wherever you live, but don't pick one where your free time coincides with the middle of the night in that region, or you will find it hard to set up games.

    given that it will depend on local QM ratings, will we be informed of our status ? such as
    a daily QM rating cutoff (at least) so we can know where we stand.

    It's not that simple because some people will fail to send decklist and get booted, so there is no way to know the cut-off.

    I understand, but wouldn't it be better anyway to have some sort of indication ? so that people can know at least
    what to aim for or whether they stand a chance (btw a general QM rank on top of the score would be a plus to everyone beyond
    the top 100).

    Given that the Uk clearly has the top players in the world, shouldn't we have a break away qualifier, with 5 spots allocated from the top 16 available spaces?

    If you don't make it in on rating, it means 64 people in your chosen regional had higher rating than you, so there was most likely a very slim chance of you winning anyway.
