Error contacting server. Please try again.

I have troubles with the native Mac version.
When I try to login I get the following message:

Error contacting server. Please try again.

I have no problems with the web version or the iPhone version whatsoever. Everything is working fine there (all devices are on the same WiFi).

I'm on MacOS X 10.6.6 if that helps. Shadow Era 1.24 download version.

Seems like there's some firewall blocking it. It could be a software firewall, maybe Mac has one on the OS like Windows? Could also be a standalone firewall or one integrated into security suites like anti-virus programs. Then you have your hardware firewalls too like your routers and such. We don't even have a Mac so that's all the info I can provide.

Like I said. It works from the iPhone on the same router. And I disabled the firewall, still not working.

So my network monitor tells me, that the Shadow Era.app tries to connect to two IPs.
First it tries 10.25.40.1 and 10.31.32.1 after that. Neither of them respond to ping.
Both belong to a class A private network! This might be the problem. Maybe you recognize those IPs.

Let me help you help me ;-)
Maybe I can even help with the localization of the app.

10.6.7, And I don't believe I have a firewall running. My router is on its default settings(the Bell router) not sure if that may be the problem, Bell may have installed a hardware firewall with its router. No extra firewalls downloaded/installed either.

If you have it working through a browser but the Mac client cannot connect, that's probably because of some firewall on your computer that's blocking access. I think you and jonen are the only ones I've heard that has connection problems with the Mac client.

I think it is an issue with the update. These problems never occured until the recent update and now i am having significant issues with both connecting through the web page and through the mac application. Running 10.6.8
