Newb looking for Majiya advice and general info

I started playing just before 1.24 I took the Nishaven starter and quickly swapped him for Eladwen and swapped in 2 portals. My end goal is to play Majiya (already bought her) and I'm 1 level from 100 shadow crystals with which I plan to buy the Shadow Mage starter.

I was just curious if portal is still worth packing and what kind of impact the new armor/weapon cards have had on the game. (I'm still not even entirely sure how they work).

Do note though, that the deck is an early draft, and as such it is in need of some fine-tuning.
