Purpose of Friends List?

What functionality was intended for the friends list? All I can figure it does is save from having to find my paper where I had them wrote down. Is there anything else planned for it in the future? It doesn't even seem to change to indicate when people are on or offline.

Suggestions for added functionality.

1. Indicate online status. It might now, but not from what I can tell.
2. Allow double clicking the name to instantly search their game history.
3. Invite them to a custom game.
4. Allow mail to be sent to them directly from the list.

Status is actually shown right now, and I am guessing mail can only be sent between friends, but I wouldn't know, I have been to busy spamming the QMs to try and get a friend yet. After the first I will start checking out the new features though.

I have yet to see any name look differently. They are always highlighted green.

Saw Shadow Era had an update. Opened the app. Went to my deck builder. Saw its still broken (android), closed the app instantly.

Maybe they are always on!
Just kidding, when I look at my friends list, it says name then under it is blanks, then next to is is status, which is blank, so I would assume that when I have a friend online, he or she would have his or her status next to his or her name.
