Great! Keep up the good work and try not to put things in your deck just to sacrifice. Games will be tougher in the beginning but will get easier with practice, knowing when to sacrifice and what to make touch calls on. Once you start playing with other heros, you'll see how much easier it gets.

Most of the time you won't need it. Games don't last long enough to need it. There are few specific cases where it's useful. And if you think it's worth 1x slot in your deck then so be it.

Bear in mind that, priests in particular, there's plenty of allies that serve 'control' functions even if they also happen to beat face.

I.E.
Jasmine Rosecult - Great crowd control
Kristoffer Wyld - Hasty damage secures kills
Lily Rosecult - Same reason as Kris, only with the added benefit of a wizent's
Birgitte/Aeon - Good ol' anti-removal tech
Priest of the Light - Life gain, se denial, and a 3/3 beater. in certain situations, it's almost like getting an extra turn.
Aldon the Brave - extra hasty damage, assuming you already have an ally out

You get the idea. Priests rely a lot on 'utility' allies rather than just using them as straight-up win conditions. Res may pile a bunch of dudes on top of your deck, but at least those dudes know how to throw a good party.

That being said, imho there's still better options in most decks. If you can afford the resources for Ghostmaker, you're probably better off with that. even if you're using it as an anti-mill card, one ally a turn isn't going to be enough to turn a game around if they've already managed to get you to play through your deck once. It's not like Res can get back Focused Prayers.
