can someone gimme some hints how to gain meltdown points or rating?

i just played my first meltdown game (create - meltdown - no password entered - open)

i won, but my meltdown stats remain at 0 points, ranking '---'

is this broken, or did i miss something or made something wrong?

Meltdown can be cheesed. Create game and then if your pool sucks go to world and back Challenge. It won't take your gold unless you play so you can wait around for a crazy pool.

Sorry, one key piece of info was left out . At the end of the week the total jackpot is also broken down into tiers, so that the higher ranked players are sharing a larger portion of the jackpot, and the bottom tier gets nothing. This is what makes the ranking system work and isn't an automatic "-50g per win"...

that's really bad. only 1/2 goes into the prize pool.....
the idea is alright but the fee is too high, i think 180gold goes into prize pool is more fair.
also i wish they add a free version too. Most players wont be able to play meltdown, since they dont have full cards yet, the gold is better for buying new cards.

i afraid no one in KA will participant in this...

I can confirm this. While I play with what I get honestly, I find a large amount of players I went versus for my sample run had ogloth and aeon, etc. Extremely high "good" cards that had almost exactly what they wanted every time.

Kyle, any chance you can increase the timer to 5 min, add a "you will lose 200 gold if you click ok" button *before* the player sees the cards? 5 min is a lot of time to choose the cards you want.

    Ummmmm

Meltdown doesn't count on your personal cards bro. So shouldn't matter if you have all cards or not.

He probably meant that it's more beneficial for new players to spend their gold to buy new cards rather than to play Meltdown.

Several of the issues mentioned above have been discussed a lot at the Test Server-section of the forum (in this thread). I'd just hope that feedback would reach the person(s) in charge.

Please make it so, that there is no chance to reroll.
Give each player a specific randam card pool for his 200 g for a specific week
and then keep that card pool attached to that player for the week no matter if he chooses to really compete or not.
This would take the whole reroll issue out of the competition.
The possibility to look at your cards and then decide they are not strong enough and just backing out
    is really bad.
    Needs to be fixed asap.

Yes, certain decks seem just too strong to be a one time random build; I hope Wulven will fix that asap, they already had hints during test server tries but they didn't hear.
And steve was saying that new players prefer to improve their card collection rather than wasting gold on meltdown, even if there's the jackpot.
