    How to change your player name

    Some players already knew your player name can be changed by emailing support@shadowera.com. However, this functionality has finally been added to the support page and players can make the change themselves! The cost of 100 Shadow Crystals still applies.

    Names can only be 16 alphanumeric characters long, including spaces. On the in-game Challenge screen, click on the "Search" button and if a searched name returns an error that the player is not found, then the name is available and not taken.

    I also want to mention that the support team is no longer just comprised of some dork and is an actual team now! New support staff have started today and we(finally I'm using this term legitimately and it's not merely representative of my nosism ^^) will be working to clear out the backlog, as well as get back to the nice response time that we had before.

    @Preybird I still cannot reserve enough time to be Community Manager and that was the reason for my retirement. I use "we" because I am a part of the support team.

    @Unruler The 100 Shadow Crystal fee is not being charged because it can now be automated and self-serve. If you forget the reasons, it was explained in this thread.

    To help reduce the volume of emails we receive on a daily basis, a 1 week limitation has been instated and name changes cannot be made if it's within a week of your last request.
    I don't get it, if it's automated you won't receive any mails.

    @Unruler Please note the date of my original post in that thread is July 30th. The name change functionality through the support page was just added recently.

    To clarify on the reasons for the cost of name changes. Since you seemed to have thought it was a recent change and connected to the new ability to change your name through the support page.
