I think that card draw with elemental heroes is critical, so for that reason alone I would do the same move. Otherwise later on it becomes too difficult

No, but it's core to my Banebow. I tend to use it to destroy first turn advantage, and give me the resource lead so I can cast fatties first.

I tend to not like core deck concepts. They give the sense of having only one way to win, which is bad.

Because if you DONT get this one card by turn x, you lose.

I would rather have several different cards I need by turn x, than just one.

    Example:

With Serena, by turn three I need/want jasmine, potl, black garb, or aldon.

Turn four I need IGG. That bothers me a LOT. It restricts my draw and versatility, so I add tainted oracles or some other form of draw.

"Core" is probably too strong a word. I can certainly win going second without it, but I do like the boost it gives me going second.

That makes more sense. I HATE core decks.

Same here, if there is only one way to win, there is a billion ways to lose.
