On behalf of Warriors of the Blue Phoenix, I am pleased to announce the launch of the Inaugural Shadow Era Physical Card Meltdown Tournament to be held in Singapore on 22 October 2012.
This tournament is the first Guild-organised physical card tournament that is opened to any person registered on the Shadow Era forums. There will be a participation fee of S$18 imposed on each participant to help defray the cost of booster packs. Details of the tournament are set out as follows:

Date: 22 October 2012 (Monday)
Time: 1 pm (Singapore time)

Participants: 4 to 8. If there is a greater interest, we can increase it beyond 8
Participation fee: S$18.00
Prize: Redemption Codes from boosters plus others

Rules
1. Meltdown format. Each player is given 4 booster packs and is required to construct a deck of at least 30 cards. No class restrictions.
2. Foil heroes and redemption codes are to be removed and go towards the final prize.
3. If there are 4 or 5 participants: League (top 2 play in a Bo3 finals).
3. If there are 6 to 11 participants: Split into two groups with round-robin matches to be played within each group. Top player from each group emerging to play in a Bo3 finals.
4. If there are 12 or more participants: Split into four groups with round-robin matches to be played within each group. Top player from each group emerging to play in a Bo3 semi-finals, and finalists in a Bo3 finals.
5. Scoring: For League and round robin, each player is required to play every other player in the league or group in a two-game match. In a two-game match, each player will take decide on the first person to start for the first game, and in the second game, the other player will start. For each victory in a game, that player wins 2 points. No points will be awarded to the losing player. For a game that is drawn, each player is awarded a point each.
6. In the event of a tie on points, players are to play a Bo1 game (random first turn) if head-to-head scores between such players are not conclusive. Tournament Organiser’s decision in any uncertainty shall be final and conclusive.
7. Sync errors, disconnects and frozen games do not apply here.
Prize
1. Champion and runners-up will split the booster codes 2:1.
2. An additional prize of a set of Status Symbols will be awarded to the best orange-themed player, failing which, the champion of the tourney.

3. If there are 16 players participating, there will be an additional mystery bonus prize for the champion.
4. The first seven sign-ups will each receive an Ultra Pro Dual Life Counter - Easley Battle.

Why participate?
1. This is a good opportunity to meet up with some of the SE players based in Singapore and Malaysia and actually play a physical card game.
2. Meltdown format is hitting test servers so why not try the actual card version? Absolutely bug-free.
3. Bring any spare cards you have for trading as well. In fact use this thread for any proposed trades. If you are interested in buying cards, please contact Tournament Organiser.
4. If you had not been able to punch the Millstalker that has been terrorizing you in online games, this is a good chance to do so in person.
