    Turn 1 Birgitte

Is it wise to play a Birgitte Skullborn on your first turn? or will it just be a waste?

It depend I guess. If you are going to summon 2 more ally down in turn 2-3. It can help your ally survive longer. It's wasteful if only you are not putting any ally down.

One other way is to put a birgitte with another ally the same turn. Eg, with a jasmine?

Or you know your enemy has no ally and if putting down a cc3 ally will mean sure dead. Eg a fireball to your cc3 ally. A brigitte can deter your oppoenent from using a fire ball.

Just some of my thought. Haha.

Yeah, I was thinking if I had Puwen on hand for turn 2. Casting Birgitte along with another ally on the same turn will delay my casting for an additional turn (Birgitte + Puwen = 3rd turn, Birgitte + Jasmine = 4th turn). This is in the context of early board presence at least.

Birgitte won't die immediately if say my opponent's 1st turn is a Fire Snake, even if he goes first. As long as I have Puwen for turn 2. I'm just not sure if it's worth the 1st drop or if it's better kept for later turns.

If I go first, and I have a 2cc in hand, I will play Birgitte T1.

I'm starting to appreciate this card more. Next is to figure out how to play it if I have a T2 & T3 ally drops plus Birgitte all in hand. Challenge accepted!

Birgitte, Blake, Aldon is almost the strongest start you can make in the game, if you go first. Beware of rage quitters who don't let you gain rating cos they quit too early.

Spark, Spark+Spark, Spark+Extra Sharp is the strongest start (if you avoid T1 Kris).

Birgitte is playable late game as well. Although i tend to drop 2-3 at once, your opponent is forced to go through them first unless its a priest/mage you're facing.

If going first, and you have a Puwen in hand, it worth it.

Going first and a Bad Santa in hand... Go for it and drop the Santa Bomb T2.

Going first with a Retreat and a Assassination in hand, T2 Retreat the 2cc ally, T3 assassinate the opponent's Jasmine or Gargoyle...

Going second with a cheap draw engine in hand like Blood Frenzy, Tome of Knowledge, Bazaar? Summon her.

Also by summoning her when going second you'll draw one more cards if your opponent cast Bad Santa or Bazaar, that's good,

Becarful, summoning Birgitte vs Shadow Heroes going second can just feed a Carniboar, Elementalis usually runs Carniboar.

    +1

Sometimes I do it even if I dont. Sounds counter-productive, but against most Shadow Heroes, they can't kill her off in one turn in early game (most run Brut only), so your 3cc drop will still get some measure of protection. And as Kent says, you can use that turn 2 slot for a control card (Retreat, Crippling Blow, Poison Arrow etc.)

Like everyone else said, if you have a T2 drop, play Birgitte.
