Weird defeat

One interesting point...

The last two times it's happened to me, my rating has went up even though I saw the defeat screen and it looks like a defeat in my search history.

This actually makes me guess that it's an uncommon bug with how SE handles someone leaving the game, rather than an exploit.

^this just happened to me too. Check out Choada boy vs. nMer - I clearly won, my opponent quit during his sac phase, I wait for 2 minutes as usual... get a defeat message instead of victory, but rating goes up 2 points Dunno if I actually got the 40 gold I deserved. Weird.

Only explanation I have is that maybe Kyle ran out of ingame gold and has to do something about it?

That's a good point. The first time it happened, there was no rating change (which can happen, of course), but the second time there indeed was a rating increase.

So it seems to be a bug that does not affect the rating adjustments, and it does not seem there is foul play. That does leave open the question if the bug affects other things, such as the gold and experience you receive after the match. I can't verify this either way at the moment, but I'll try to keep my eyes open in case it happens again.

I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive I remember the last time it happening, I only got about 50 experience, the experience you get from losing to a high-level player. So I think it does take away gold and exp.

My rating is stuffed due to this problem... So frustrating being on the cusp of a win and it happens! Another thing that has happened to me is when I bought an expansion pack, I pressed once and confirmed but 2 packs were bought... Hope they sort out these issues soon. I don't want to play or spend more money cause of all these issues.

Talking with BL00DY on IRC some days ago (that's right, he's back) we ended up thinking that this is a glitch.
No other explanation possible.
A bug like this?

Not that impossible, but since that other players have experienced this too I don't think that hacker/cheater go around in a large number.
Connection issue?
Impossible.
If other players experience this too, we all can't have the same connection so better to leave this at home.

This is just happened to me.
The game was: weloy vs wttsk.

I was clearly winning the game. It was at the end my opponent turn without any resource left, 8 life points.
I had Zaladar with >4 SE, an PotL, and an Aeon (thanks to DR).
But somehow the game froze and then the screen show a big Defeat. (got 50 exp and no gold as a normal defeat)

Just had this weird defeat too. Opponent hero was on 2hp, and I have my soulseeker in play, to win on the next turn, then suddenly the Defeat page appeared andy rating dropped.

I tried watching the replay again, an even weirder bug occurred. When my SS damages the opponent hero (without weapon or armor), my hero got damaged as well. And during a point during the replay, everything just stopped and the game hang.

Same, I have also experience this a few time. It only happen when you are about to win. And just now it happen again, but I didn't lost but ended up in a draw. Dont really know what is happenning.
