New Feature: Rating Decays

Question. I've let my rating drop due lack of QM's. I just checked it and it's now 247.... Meaning it's below 250. I thought the rot stopped at 250. Is this an error, or will it continue to plummet to some other target?

I think it's because it drops by 3 when it drops. If you were on 249, there shouldn't have been a drop. It won't drop from 247 anymore I think.

I think the philosophy with rating decays is good, but i have complainings about the rating itself. You see, if i lose the match to someone whose rating is much lower than mine, for example 30, my rating drops for 2, 3, sometimes more, but when i win against them i'm not gaining any rating at all. I think we could gain at least 1 rating up for a win.

It does increase, but in increments less than 0.

I thought he was being ironic, but I believe we have documented cases where rating dropped after a win....

Current decay sucks balls.. you go to vacation for 3 weaks to Cambodia, where obviously your last problem would be to login every 5th day to play a game, so after 3 weaks you come back and you are minus dunno, 50 points? Points you have no chance to get back since you get +1 for win and -3 for loose on high rating playing worse ranked opps (and pls don't explain me the ELO system). Even in fukd up game such as Travian you can set "vacation mode".

My proposal is make it one game 5 days + every other game 1 day free of decay, so when I'm going away for like 10 days, i know i have to play 1(5days) + 5(5 days) games, when I might fell even more, but it was game-based, not that I was unable to sacrifice my personal life for meaningless and nocashgenerating position in ladder ggwpthx
