I also fodder this card. In this current deck it is too overpriced since it costs as much as ur most powerful allies. Now i don't know how it will be made useful but a spell like that would seem more logical in a ally heavy deck of a warrior ( don't know if its intended for warriors to be ally heavy)

But when you play this card early, all of your allies will be able to attack in the same turn they are played. Since enemy's don't attack back when they are killed, this gives you a great advantage over your enemy for the entire game

We have to remember this is a mage only card, other class heroes won't have access to it. If on your third turn all your allies can attack instantly from then on that is one huge advantage. Maybe drop it to 3 resources and add a degenerating effect like it affects the next 3 allies you play or something.

This card is fine the way it is, and very usefull, now that we switched decks and have more ally added this card is damn good.

And if you build a ally heavy mage deck (even more so then the deck we have now) this card would be a must

Well, you seem to lose a turn playing Portal and then gain a turn by the effect it continuously grants you. However, the advantage comes in in that you are given the opportunity to attack before being attacked. I guess this does sound very good, although I'd have to try it out in more situations.

I did actually force myself to play this card yesterday, and I don't really think it helped me. I had the 4 drop that draws card when it comes in If I just played it, it would have got to attack anyways. Sure the next time I played an ally it could attack do, but you have to play so many guys before it does any thing, and frankly the spells are better then most allies right now. I just feel like I wasted my turn when I took time to play it.

Hmmm.... I would much prefer if this was listed as a "Mage Item," especially since it will remain in the Item area of the mat. Additionally, "ongoing" is a kind of confusing description, since I'm not sure whether the card remains in play or just the effect of the card remains in play. However, as an Item, it becomes clear that you can destroy it with cards that have "destroy item".

The problem seems that turning Portal into an Item intuitively makes sense. However, cards like Enrage make more sense as Abilities that are "ongoing" (and not as Items).

So I can see keeping them both as Abilities being more aesthetically compatible with the way cards like Enrage function while making them Items is more intuitive with the way a Portal might function...hmm.... And then making some into Items and some into "ongoing" Abilities would seem to unnecessarily produce more types of cards (e.g. like artifacts and enchantments in Magic: the Gathering).

Perhaps another solution would be to think of a more neutral noun that encompasses both Items and "ongoing" Abilities.

I like the card, if you have a chance to get this out early the enemy doesnt stand a chance

This card is an automatic "I win" if you get it out. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't use it. Sure the second you get 4 resources you wanna cast an ally but think about it it can't attack until next turn anyway. You play this on that turn then cast the ally next turn and you lose no momentum and every ally you cast from then on attacks that turn. I think the card should either be turn limited like 3 or 4 turns or there needs to be item destroying cards if not already.
