Alliance Game Dist: maybe not so big in Europe?

    Hey guys,

I'm really curious what Alliance's strategy and market share are outside of the US.

I've been asking around with some European retailers and one big one from Germany (deals with plenty of CCGs) has no dealings with Alliance at all. They did ask around with their other wholesalers, who had no knowledge of Shadow Era at all.

There was also quite some skepticism on his side regarding the game, to quote: "Oh please Thomas - not another CCG (what nobody will buy later ...)"

Which makes me kind of fear for the SE-CCG's future in Europe. If Wulven want SE-CCG to pick up in Europe, there's going to have to be some pushing. Especially attending a game show or two.

    Totally.

I haven't expected a scene to grow in Finland (except maybe Helsinki but don't really have ways to get there atm, neither money or time) but whole Europe? That's kinda bad.

I'm asking the German retailer who his normal channels and distributors are. Maybe that'll be helpful for Wulven, to find another (extra) way into Europe.

The game will likely take off more slowly in Europe, but it's definitely in our plans. Stay positive, please!

(I know it's hard to stay positive when Alliance are the exclusive distributor though.)

Alliance isn't involved in the german market as far as I know. Wulven should contact Amigo or Universal Cards for that. But I doubt our market is well suited for Shadow Era. Tbh they should focus on the american market for some time first and see how it's going. Just my 2 cents.
