Came here to post this... Looks like competition!

Could be good, could be bad... Of course, they appear to have mostly worked on the concepts and I have no idea if they have even started coding yet. Thus it could be at least a year or two before the game becomes available.

It does indeed look like a direct competitor for Shadow Era, which I take as meaning they are impressed with this game and want some of the action for themselves

I think they might see "Ascension" as their big competitor. Mostly because that game was designed by one of the designers of SolForge

There you go then Explains a lot.

Either way, it's definitely a sign that Wulven need to up their game a bit more. Right now they have a great game with Shadow Era, but everything around it still feels "semi-pro". Support is handled by one guy, many things are handled by volunteers on the forums... I'm really not ragging on Wulven, just saying that they might want to pack some oomph, because these guys look business!

+1. Especially the 'semi-pro' part. SE has great potential to be one of the biggest digital card game but it need to consolidate its dominance. Employing more people will surely help in getting the new expansion out earlier.

Having watched the video on their kickstarter page, it goes to show how well Kyle has done to launch this entirely on his own without any financial support from anyone. I am sure $1M of up-front backing would have helped a whole lot.

It's a shame Richard Garfield has not noticed this game, because it does everything he claims to be looking for

With evolution of the cads being a key feature, it reminds me more of Pokemon TCG.
