i would like to apply, but i don't think i'm qualified. well, not with the required work experience anyway. it does say the job entails thinking up new card effects and game mechanics. doesn't say anything about creating artwork/card art. the only experience i have in this regard is the same as every other regular card player.

Won't know unless you apply, sent in an email yesterday myself - definitely very interested because I enjoy designing game content (both visual and mechanical) - though since I've done freelance work (in a different field) in the past, my mind very quickly starts tinkering on the 'business' side of the deal. Money isn't the primary issue, but mainly depending on the amount, it would let me cut back my hours at my current job (something I've been endeavoring to do for a while now) - and focus more on this, as well as my YouTube channel (both things consisting of what I actually enjoy doing - so much that I do them for free)

For those who are wondering, you do not need to be able to create card artwork, because Wulven has in-house graphic designers and a long list of artists we can license artwork from. It helps if you can describe what you think the artwork should look like though.

well, this is an example of my card ideas. for game mechanics, i can think up more as well. using the test server, i can also balance those new card ideas or game mechanics.

You'd have to ask Kyle, but I think having a portfolio with artwork that looks SE-style would be a great first step.
