Jasmine Rosecult working as intended?

On the ability text of the card it states "Target opposing ally can't attack until the end of its controller's next turn"

ok so i have encountered a situation like this. i had a fed Ogloth with 5 current attack. Opponent uses Jasmine ability on my Ogloth. On my turn i cannot use Ogloth's ability on Jasmine. the thing is, i am not attacking with Olgoth, i am just using his ability. The text states that u cant attack but it never state that u cant use abilities.

So my question is:
1) Jasmine working as intended?
2) If she is, does Jasmine's Charm Spell (as i like to call it) prevent the use of every ally ability? For eg. on Aeon's or Shieldmaiden's or opposing Jasmine which are not considered offensive abilities. Or does the Charm Spell only prevent abilities that deal damage? For eg. Plasma Behemoth, Olgoth, Death Mage
3) Any other thing we should know about Jasmine's ability since the text is not what it seem?

from my understanding, jasmine's ability can't prevent opponent allies' abilities. i mean, i've seen it happen myself (i think)

You should note what ogloth's attack was. Things that reduce his attack (such as raven or crippling blow) will erase his ability to use his... well, ability.

Do you have the game so we can look at it?

Alternatively you may not have had 3 spare resources when you went to use Ogloths ability.

Jasmine can't stop abilities. If you had the right set up for using Ogloth's ability, then its a bug. Could we have the match in question to verify the circumstances?

You mention Aeon. If he was on the board, then he was protecting Jasmine from being targeted. Ogloth can't eat her if Aeon is protecting her.

it was vs a lvl15 AI that i noticed this, so there was no replay. the comp AI used Jasmine on my Ogloth. maybe i should confirm it again, thanx for the replies. And there was no protectors on board

UPDATE: Sorry guys, my bad. Ogloth's ability wasnt prevented by Jasmine's Charm this time. must have run out of resources to use it the first time, and failed to notice it.
