A couple of minutes ago I started up a quick game, only to meet (and get owned by) soothslyr. I was seriously suprised, and it got me thinking, has this happened to someone else? Have you ever started up a quick game then randomly meet someone from the forums? Or maybe not on SE maybe you went on to matchmaking on CoD and met GS who stood up in his tower sniping you the whole game. Post below if something like this has happened to you.

hmm... can't say I've had that experience specific... but I have had it be the reverse in other games (where people recognized ME from somewhere and make a deal about it... has happened back in Diablo 2's hayday, happened in a browser based game I did community relations for, and has even happened to me once in SE :P)
I also think I've got the tag line "I remember what you did" attached to my name... because some guy I don't remember playing, remembered playing me I guess... I still beat him, but yea... he was trying.

I faced Icebear sometimes ago before the rating reset, and i faced Silverclaw and lolcifer today.
I won with both ;P
