I can't think of the card's name nor find it right now, but it's a card that enters the "support" area of play in my warrior deck. It says, "Allies can't be attacked for 2 turns," but, even when I play it, my allies constantly get attacked and killed. Please help me understand this mechanic.

and i am not sure if i get you right, but i never encountered any problems with that card, it does what it is supposed to.
can you tell a game where this happened?

You mean valiant defender.
Well the card safeguards your allies from being "physically" attacked. Which means they will still take damage from spells/abilities.

Yeah. I don't recommend playing it t2 though.
Valiant defender depends on the deck you're using as well as the opponent.
Against rogues,warriors,wulven it can act as a virtual portal since they dont have direct damage dealing cards(they have disabilities though). I made good use of it in my boris to get around annoying anklebreakers or such. Keep in mind though, that playing VD will direct all damage to your hero so be ready for some heavy bashing once you play it.

I personally don't use the card and really don't like it much . There's a lot more cards that are more important in a warrior deck.. But like Speed said, I guess it depends on the deck.
