If the ability can be used multiple times per turn, this card must have a higher cost. Otherwise, just a good versatile card. Before I realized that the activated abilities weren't available yet, he gave me a startle.

Abilities that cost resources to use will show a number in a circle next to the ability text, indicating the number of resources it costs to use that ability. An ability can only be used once per turn, then it is grayed out, and ready again on your next turn. Allies and Heroes can use an ability and attack in the same turn.
Abilities that do not have a resource cost to cast are considered always in effect and do not have to be activated.

For sure, otherwise technically he should keep getting stronger and stronger the more resources you feed him.... which might actually make a good card.... but not for this guy
