    A fun format for tournament

This is based on the basic best of 3 format.

Every player enters the tournament with 3 decks. The only rule is that the 3 decks have to share the same hero. Once the tournament starts, the hero choice of each participating player is public information.

In each round, a pair of players will play 3 matches and the player who wins 2 or more will advance to the next round. In the first match, the first player goes first. In the second match, the second player goes first. And in the third match, the player that goes first is randomly selected.

So far, just usual stuff, right? Now the key part. Each player is free to choose from the 3 decks he/she brings before every match. Note that you don't have to switch deck, you can even use the same deck for all 3 matches. The fun is really in the way you design these 3 decks. For example, you can have a deck just for going first and another just for going second. You can have each deck specially teched to counter certain match-ups. And you can even hide one secret deck till later rounds to surprise your opponent. The possibility is almost unlimited.

IMHO, this format can better test the skill of the players and remove some of the randomness in the basic best of 3.
