In any sports you would ask a player or coach to talk a little about their game.
I agree with Sisyphos, anyway, in the Rules/Format of WC, there is nothing about that your deck will be revealed so i think is fair everyone has the right to post/let GDC post, his deck or not.

    By the way, my deck:

    Zaladar
    4x Brutallis
    4x Infernal Gargoyle
    4x Death Mage Thaddeus
    4x Molten Destroyer
    1x Bad Wolf
    4x Mind Control
    4x Sacrificial Lamb
    4x Shadow Font
    3x Shriek of Vengeance
    3x Here Be Monsters
    2x Ley Line Nexus
    2x Soul Reaper

    Total 40 cards.
I only made top 32 and i was one of the unguildeds in the finals, so probably you may look at this deck like is not any good, but i can say that i reached 300 in the middle of a season with it and is consistent.
Also i'm not a fan of DR in Zaladar (big fan of DR in Amber!), so i don't included them in the deck but give this deck a try and you'll see that the deck runs good.

I can see how having access to good decks helps new players. Even played badly (with some exceptions) a good deck will work, so in that instance it will be good for new players to use to get a feel for how a good deck works, and even if they lose, as long as they were paying attention to what they were drawing, they can see what bad sac choices they made and what they should keep, etc etc.

When I was new I never really net decked so to speak, but I often would look up some popular decks to see what sort of cards frequently appeared, and approximately how many allies they ran to get an idea on what might work.

For the record, I didn't say I wouldn't post them, but I thought it right to ask permission first and go from there.

3rd and 4th place (busti and jacqui) are now listed in this thread and iClipse has offered to post his in the next day or so.

I will contact other players for permission. The plan was to have a Design Team blog post about the World Championships and talk about the hero and deck choices BTW.

p.s. It's a shame this debate didn't happen before the Grand Finals - then I could have made it mandatory or not to have decks posted.

For some weird reason, if the rules does stipulate that the decklist will be revealed at the end of the tourney, some players might choose not to join the said tourney. What that said, it's just a choice they made.

That's not likely to happen. The whole purpose of building good competitive decks isn't to have them to look pretty but to win competitions with them. Who can resist a chance at winning the World Championships?

    That would suck.
Are you really that stupid? What kind of argument is that?

If someone doesn't join a tournament to not share the list I'm pretty sure that person wouldn't go far to make the list worthy anyway.
