15:30 GMT is just under 5 hours away now. We might kick things off a little early, but be sure to be there by then for the start of the Grand Finals.

anybody got this twitch ios app showing shadoweratv ?

app works, but channel cant be found.

i can only see it via browser, but safari will not display the flash stream

edit: channel poped up once the stream started.

For the record folks, some of you (all of you, actually) had noticed some technical issues in the stream which resulted in loss of frames, and in rare extreme events, distorted or dropped audio.

We had not the time to stress-test everything before today's events and the software involved had updated multiple times since last used. I got the chance to check after the event and several options I had tweaked before to accommodate bandwidth fluctuation had been reset to their defaults. I sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction this may have caused, but know that the issue has been fixed and that Shadow Era TV is as smooth as ever.

Myself and the rest of the crew look forward to tomorrow's top 4 competition, which will start at 15:00 GMT+0 (so we'll be live at some point before then with any luck). We hope to see everyone there for day two of Shadow Era Weekend 2012 and the World Championship Grand Finals.

The audio problems are probably due to Skype. We've had robovoice problems with SOTE as well. And we weren't streaming or so then.

Also twitch tv has troubles with streaming lately. The stream keeps changing of quality which makes it jump from one point to another all the time. Why there is no video signal AT ALL sometimes, I have no idea about why that is.

My max buffer rate was about 60 kbps higher than it should have been. This means that when my bandwidth fluctuates, the stream is releasing frames/audio faster than the content is being buffered, so there's frame skip and in extreme cases, audio is lost as well. Distorted voices and whatnot are more a skype/mic thing, robovoice being a common skype issue, but the audio loss is (I believe) being caused by extreme fluctuation as well. I dunno, I'm not an IT guy. It could easily just be the video suffering.
