    Announcing the Card Rulings Subforum!

    Hiya!

A new Card Rulings section has been added to the forum for all those specific card interaction questions you've been dying to ask! This section of the forum will be managed by me and Orange Hat Guy, as we will be working together on physical official organized play and want to make sure everyone has a firm understanding of the rules

This section will serve two purposes: the first is to provide the current Card Interaction FAQ, where you can find answers to commonly asked questions regarding how certain cards interact with each other. The second purpose is to let you ask card-based questions for anything not covered by the FAQ.

Enjoy the new section, and good luck in your games

    Mojumbo

Having a clear understanding of the rules is a must for any competitive player of any game, and I am excited to work with Mojumbo on this.

Apparently all posts and new threads in that forum need to be approved by moderators. While I agree that the forum in question should be kept free of junk, I feel different measures should be used. I already generated / requested a thread on an apparent dis-correlation between a card and its FAQ section.
Congratulations to Preybird for designing my Avatar!

Well I'll be sure to never post anything there. Why wait for a mod to answer something that other people could answer sooner. Seems an unnecessary hinderance.

The method being used is specifically for FAQ type forums. It's pretty standard, else we would get lots and lots of the same question over and over like we already do right now. It eliminates a lot of headache and forces people to actually read for once.

I only hope the questions are organized and ordered in an easy to search method, such as outlined links taking the person to the correct area their question is in, instead of forcing the user to use the site's search function.

Because your questions to other people could easily be answered by a FAQ forum. Many questions are simply the same thing, worded differently. This is a hindrance to forum goers and creates MANY unnecessary threads. So when someone wants to know something, they have to dig through hundreds of threads and search results.

In essence, by refusing to ask questions there you are being a nuisance to other members of this community. That's fine but you should keep in mind that your convenience comes at other peoples' expense. So I would hope you don't get annoyed at someone asking you questions that could have easily been found in the FAQ, and I hope you never direct anyone to the FAQ.

Because if you did... gee. Is this what that "Golden Rule" thing means?

The FAQ is a great thing. It's about time that we have one, and I'm a fan of it and it's format. My argument was that people now have to wait much longer to have a question answered due to the fact only certain people can answer it. If a newbie can't find an answer, it's most likely due to the fact that they are a newbie, and are unaware of the FAQ or where to find answers in the first place. Now, they have to wait who knows how long. How does that help? We all know people don't read before they post(ie sync errors/freezes). It's not going to change now.
