Smile New Macbook Pro Retina Display support

    Hi,

are there any plans to support the new Macbook Pro with its resolution of 2880x1800? Some reviews state, that apps which don't support the native resolution look just terrible...

If it can't display normal apps, or program's in a crisp clear way (99% of apps) then this product is doomed to fail. I'm sceptical however that it would make normal apps look terrible.

I guess that it will make normal apps look a little better and sharåer, but not as good as specific Retina display optimized apps.

I can't wait to get my new Macbook!

Engadget states in their review of the new MBP, that third party apps have a hard time with the high resolution display.

    For example Googles Chrome:
"You might forgive the buttons and UI elements for being ugly, but even the text rendered on webpages is blurry and distorted"

In my experience, the lack of visual "prettiness" is usually a temporary thing. As 4k screens be become more common, developers will adjust

I've got a friend who does video production for a living, and picks up the new mac every year or so... Except this one. Several of the programs he uses aren't likely to be useable on this one (due to listed screen issues), the ram is non-upgradable, and the hdd only comes in solid state. It's the least repairable unit on the market!

It's sad, but curtesy of this new product he's actually working to just build a hackintosh!
