Round 8 will be starting later today.

I could start it now, since I have coded up the pairing system and it seems to work correctly, except for three things:

1) I am waiting to hear back from some people about their Round 7 results. If I pair up now without the results then the round 8 pairings will not be accurate.

2) I am giving EVERYONE until 8pm GMT to check over their match results as shown on the DEFINITIVE standings page. (The Challonge table is now defunct!) Again, if the results are incorrect, this will affect the pairings, so let me know if something looks amiss.

3) I want to warn people against match fixing. It's a dangerous game and it could go horribly wrong for you.

Firstly, if results have been recorded by you and I discover that the games have not been played then they may not count. If you have done this in other rounds, then I suggest you play the games before I check the results at the end of Round 8.

Secondly, if you agree to a 2-2 tie beforehand, can you trust your opponent enough to let them win game 3 and believe that they will let you win game 4? If they play to win that last game and they do, they will get 4 pts and you will only have 1, which could cost you your place in the Grand Finals.

Thirdly, all current points are subject to change, since some results might have been recorded incorrectly, so you might think you can guarantee your top 30 spot but someone might end up jumping up higher.

Finally, seeding in the Grand Finals will be done based on placing in the top 30, so each result helps you get a better route to the Final.

what i don't get is, my tie break score was at 73 and now it's 70.
i'm not gonna make it since my tie break score is so low.
i'm gonna play for fun.
4 wins is for nothing.
all ties should get me even higher then where am now.

are all my opponent super weak or something?
since i also have to look at my opponents score ( what i get from your mail ).
i think one of my opponent was ranked above 300 ranking and i beat him 4-0.

At this point, it's still a possibility that you can make it to the Top 30 even with a score of 24. It really depends on what score other players get. If everyone got a draw in their match, then the minimum score to get in to the Top 30 would be 24 points so I wouldn't concede anything yet. I'm certainly hoping for the best and I have the same score as you but with the lowest tiebreaker within our group.

Your tiebreak score is dependent on how well your opponent is doing in this tourney. It's possibly changing because some of the scores of your previous opponents are being updated. It's also the median so it removes the score of the best opponent you had as well as the worst one.
