rejoining a game

This is not so much a suggestion as a question, but it could be a suggestion depending on the answer. I was in the middle of a game, and my battery died. I use a MacBook pro, so it is just a matter of connecting the power cord, and it goes right back to the game. However, when I went back to the game, it would not let me rejoin the game, I got a message saying that I was already playing a game, and would have to wait until it was over to start another game. Is there any way to rejoin a game after leaving? I could look up the game, and click on it, but I still got the same message.
