You might have long articles but you still keep them really simple and easy to read, this means its not hard to read it at all. Not many people (especially me) can do that. So very nice work!

I'll have to read your other article too, but I'm looking forward to part 2, I've been away for awhile and need to catch back up.

Also, any reason you call Shadow Era "Shadow Era!"?

Well I'm glad everyone enjoys my Articles so far. And umm Yugiohs correct Spelling would be "Yu-Gi-Oh!" so that's probably why I add the Exclamation at the end of Shadow Era, Plus it looks cooler & I have also have weird typing habits that you've probably noticed like certain words being Capitalized, It's my way of writing and what my fingers want to do when typing on this iPhone!

I think one of the biggest keys is to know the weakness' of your deck and to develop a plan for responding to those scenarios.

Also understanding that you can't build a deck that has a response to every challenge. Often you see new players put together decks with 70 - 80 cards thinking they need include a response to every scenario. This problem is made worse by the fact that starting out they're playing noobs who are doing the same thing.

Well I've seen plenty of Articles on here about Probability & Deck Count so I decided it wasn't necessary to discuss. But I do agree that knowing your decks Strengths & weakness is Key.

    interesting read.
But I don't agree completely with your opinion. Ofc decision making and deck building as a huge influence of the outcome of a match.
But the stage shadowera is at the moment the luck factor of this game is still quite high.
The problem is, the meta shifted to a point where a manageable amount of decks are played. Its like you see the opponent hero and know most cards he has in his deck, if you play in a tournament game. Because most decks that are played are most likely the same with small to no changes.

And because of this some people think there are heroes that have autowin against others. I would not go this far. But I think some standard decks are supposed to beat other standard decks, even if the one player is a lot weaker than the other. And as far as this will not change I think its impossible to win a single elimination tournament without luck.

So your Saying that someone with a High Skill Level has the same chance of winning as a less Skilled Player if there decks are exactly the same?

ähm.. no this is the last thing i said. lol

I say that a less skilled player with a Gwen standard deck has higher odds winning against a higher skilled player with a standard Eladwen deck than vice versa, the way the meta is at the moment.
(and the meta is at the moment, that there are about 2 standard decls for each hero everyone is playing in tournaments with minimal or not relevant changes)

Ofc only if both player crossed a certain skill-level of game understanding.

And this means, if you go into a deck locked single elimination tournament (like most tournaments are) playing Elad you have to get lucky to not run into a Gwen even if you are the best player in this tournament.

Its a bit like in Poker. Sure there are some professional players, that are always at the top but to actually win a huge poker tournament, skill does not make it alone. You also need a lot of luck.

As you pointed out yourself in one of your article. This is not chess.
