As a Duel Masters/Yu-Gi-Oh TCG player myself, I strongly agree the admins should sticky this. This is comprehensive enough for beginners and those wishing to go pro.
Oh you forgot about bluffing your opponent. That could be another point that can add an entire chapter to this article.
Man finally I get someone that thinks the same way as I do. All TCGs do not require only money, the experience level must be there (pun not intended)

Yeah For Sure, Im already pretty confident in my skills in this game so far, My Rank is all messed up from testing and everything, But yes! I am getting competitive in SE. I have a Natural skill when it comes to TCGs so once the Ranks reset & the new set is released... Consider me a threat!

    Another good read, kudos SAVAGE.

One thing I found interesting is how just about all these points are equally applicable to chess, which is probably my personal favorite comparison to SE over any other T/CCG I've played. Quite a few introduction to chess articles/books cover these exact concepts in one way or another.

I Also play a little Chess, as I was told buy a Ex-Yugioh Pro (Arguably the greatest player to play the game) / Good Friend that it would sharpen my Tactical Skills for High Level Tournaments in Yu-Gi-Oh!

My personal advice is that ignore the ranking/rating. Go participate in the competitions/tourneys. That's the best way to show how good you are.

Some of the best players main account ratings are actually not that good, bec they only have 1 main and no alternate account. So their rating suffer from their testing. Nonetheless they are still recognized as one of the best players around.
