i play you 1 of these days.

i can never make it anymore in the top 30 even if i win 4-0 from you.
even if i get 5 point from ya, i'm at 26 point and with my tie break score so low i can't make it anyways.

4 wins 1 lose 2 tie for nothing.

thinking of having a tourney of my own with double elimination.
    that system is super fair.
26 points is most likely enough to make it to top 30 without looking at tie-breaker score. Don't give up!

Unfortunately, yes. The way the tie breaker is constructed depends on your opponent's performance as well.

i'm not gonna make it since my tie break score is so low.
    i'm gonna play for fun.
    4 wins is for nothing.
all ties should get me even higher then where am now.

are all my opponent super weak or something?
since i also have to look at my opponents score ( what i get from your mail ).
i think one of my opponent was ranked above 300 ranking and i beat him 4-0.

    long live diablo 3!

ranking means nothing in this. it is about their performance in the competition.

if your score dropped it was because your opponent's result got changed, or it is because you are comparing your challonge tie-break score to the one i have calculated. challonge uses your opponent's point scores to calculate your tie-break score whereas I use a different system, based on how I believe Challonge should have implemented the method they claim to use.

Your assessment is not at all correct. 26 points could be enough. And double elimination is not fairer than swiss.

why not just put a fat 0 on it.
    i like donuts.
You are still looking at Challonge, I assume. Your tie-break score as listed on my website is 70.

I know I said to send results to me by PM but I think it's also good to have them posted here so that your opponent can confirm you've reported correctly. Thanks.

More info on the Grand Finals for you:

Grand Finals Day 1 - Saturday 16th June
    - YOU ONLY USE ONE DECK THROUGHOUT THE GRAND FINALS
    - ALL MATCHES ARE BEST OF THREE GAMES ON DAY ONE
    - top 30 placings from the swiss tournament are Seeds 1-30
    - the two winners of the wild card tournaments held sometime before the Grand Finals will be seeds 31 and 32
    - Check-in opens at 2.30pm GMT. To check-in, you need to be present in IRC and send me your deck list.
    - Round 1 starts at 3.30pm GMT.
    - If one of the 32 players does not check in by 3.30pm GMT then I will add players from the reserve list (players 31 onwards from the swiss tournament). I therefore recommend that people who place 31-40 in the swiss event still show up and check-in in case they get lucky.
    - Pairings for round 1 will be done by splitting the 32 players into 4 groups based on their seeding. Seeds 1-8 will face a random opponent from 25-32 and 9-16 will face a random opponent from 17-24.
    - Round 2 pairings will randomly pair winners of 1-8/25-32 with winners of 9-16/17-24.
    - Round 3 pairings will be completely random.
    - At the end of Round 3, only four players will remain and they will make it to Day 2.

I have picked this time slot to try to accommodate all players and timezones. If it can be shifted in either direction without harming anyone to help out someone else then I will do that.

Grand Finals Day 2 - Sunday 17th June
    - YOU MUST USE THE SAME DECK YOU USED ON DAY ONE
    - ALL MATCHES ARE BEST OF FIVE GAMES ON DAY TWO
    - Start time will be based on player availability, but assume 3pm GMT.
    - Pairings for the semi-finals will be done randomly.

The reason for the random pairing each round, rather than straight-forward bracket defined at the start, based on seeding (1 plays 32, 2 plays 31, 3 plays 30, etc), is due to the inclusion of the wild-card players (who may be better than their 31/32 seeding), and also to limit the impact of scouting on deck choices since there will not be a predictable bracket.

    and sad face,

i was hoping we would be able to participate in both wildcard tournies assuming that i lose the first tourney>.<

but reading some stuff appears that is not the case, alot is riding on needing to go 4-0 in the last round!

Yes, that's slightly tricky, but not impossible.

I am currently planning to have Wild-card 1 this weekend. If the winner is someone who ends up making the top 30 in swiss then the runner-up will be the wild-card entry. People who are guaranteed top 30 placing already will not be allowed to take part.

The second wild-card is going to run the night before the Grand Finals. It really will be last chance for someone to get in. We will know 31 of 32 players by then, so this will be open to everyone but those 31 players.
