Baduruu Beetle Demon - Palladium II

Several people have been asking me to post this deck. they saw it in action in this video: http://www.shadowera.com/showthread....-Version-1-503 and really liked it and were curious about it. ive been a little close-mouthed about it... not completely sure why since you can almost reverse engineer it from that video

so here it is:

2x plasma behemoth
2x deathamge
3x molten destroyer
2x wulven tracker
1x ogloth the glutton

3x surprise attack
3x bloodlust
2x shriek
2x acid jet
2x shadowfont
2x sacrificial lamb
2x master smith
2x gravedigger's cloak
4x beetle demon bow

(this is actually version 2)

the idea is too just flood the board with allies. when you get a shadowfont, use it, regardless of whether you have board or not. when you get to 8se (especially on turn 5), its time to have some fun. use his ability to bring a BDB into play, attack the hero or an ally for 2... then "pop it", meaning, bring it into play as an ally... then cast a second BDB... and "pop it" as well. now you have 2 nasty 3/5 fatties on the board in one early turn... cast a bloodlust the next turn for the carnage.

want to REALLY bash your opponent... wait till you have 3 BDB in hand and 10se with 8 resources... "pop" 3 in one turn... then bloodlust for 15+ depending on what other allies you have out... THAT is awesome

dont forget you also have motlen destroyers too. for maximum carnage. you can pop 1 BDB and cast a molten on turn 5, lots of fun too.

you have a couple of master smiths to bring back BDB (and a couple of SKs to bring back molten in the first version of the deck).

no main draw engine but lots of supplimental draw, which works very well with this deck (gravedigger's cloak IS a draw engine if you didnt know).

a REALLY fun turn 10 play... cast an oggy and a shadowfont... give them the tough choice of taking care of oggy now or waiting to maybe do something about 2 BDB in turn 11

actually, there are soooo many fun plays with this deck on deifferent turns... part of the fun is finding them

both decks are great. but slightly different play style. no item destruction in the first version but 4 more allies. slight better early game as well but it doesnt seem to matter so much. the second version a little more about controllingthe game, hench the item destruction.


you can tech out the allies for whatever allies you are comfortable with... but dont mess with the support cards. they are key.


and have LOTS of fun

Looks like a VERY interesting deck. Must try it. Btw, why not PB or Minotaur over Molten for EVEN MOAR 5cc carnage?

Great job, Caitlyn, you should have it in your personal achievements list.

Very interesting idea of the deck too, never tried it, looks like really fun to play deck. But no healz whatsoever, maybe like couple of Crimson Vests, or at least a few Soul Seekers?

i dont think it needs heal... it has such a huge capacity to gain or regain board control... most of the time, your opponent is completely focused on your allies and just cant keep up.

and yeah... a lot of decks at once... and it wasnt even all of them. i havent posted many in awhile... some, just not a lot... mostly just updates to 1.29 decks... but i have been working on decks since the first pfg... and with all the tournaments and everything else, i just havent posted many till now. hope you enjoy them

some new changes to the deck with DP. and a small focus change. its now geared more towards board control but the principle is still the same. get those BDBs out

You're to dependent of Bazaar. If you don't manage to draw one early or if your opponent destroys it you'll be top decking as soon as you use Baduruu's ability.
