Question What's your most memorable video game?

Simple as that title says, state what your favourite, or most nostalgic video game is!
If you wish you can post your favourite moment from the game, what made you fall in love with it, or just what you think makes the game great!

    For example;

Although I have played many video games before it, starting at around 3 years old, either Golden Sun/Golden sun 2 will definitely be the ones I look back on the most, it was such a shame they didn't get much attention.

The story was great, everything looked amazing for such old GBA games, and I loved just running through every town and mind reading everyone! xD

(Thankfully I still have my GBA SP and the games lying around somewhere.)

Edit: Oh, also the music. The music was brilliant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3uLNr5dLq4

My "theme song" because Gondorian said to do this.

Ah Minsc. A true hero of gaming history. And Boo, the miniature giant space hamster

I don't know if you've played Mass Effect 2, but Commander Shepard can buy a space hamster in game

And I was hooked on the old LucasArts SW sims since the original X-Wing on floppy disk. Back in 1992.

I think my father still has the old CD for that lying around in the dark depths of his bookcases.

XvT was my least favourite in the series, simply for it's lack of a decent single player.

X-Wing Alliances largely made up for it though

Most memorable games would go to Avalon RPG, Legends of Future Past, and the original DikuMUD (does it date me that these are all text-based?)

Most Nostalgic: Wing Commander series & Freelancer. I still play Freelancer (modded).

Freelancer! What a game that was! What mod do you have for it?

Actually, what mods are available? I remember there were some patches to make the beginning easier, give you a better starting ship etc.

That reminds me of a time when my best friend came to school with his USB stick and started playing an old text-based RPG on the school library's computer... It was hilarious watching him get confused at every new object or turn.

I actually think its Ape Escape. Its the first game I ever played, and I can't remember having so much fun with a game ever since. Might just be nostalgia, but thats the game that sticks the most out in my mind, really

I don't have a working Playstation anymore, but I actually downloaded it just a few weeks ago and started playing it on my PC :P Works like a charm with a gamepad ;P
