I don't know about this but the patch should introduce offline mode where you can do AI battles without exp or reward. But that would get just as tedious as the current AI battles.

I agree. In their current state, the AI battles are pretty tedious. But with just a little diversity here and there, they could become worthwhile!
Option for unranked matches is coming soon. No I will not clarify on the soon designation.
