oh so infect only does continuous damage to players and not to creatures? thanks, im wrong on every assumption i make about magic rules. im going to read the rulebook tomorrow and if i have any questions ill be sure to keep you in mind dnd as one of my sources

Nope, infect does not continous damage to anything, if a player is damaged with infect, instead of being damaged he recives the same amount of poison counters. If he get 10, he lose the game. And in creatures, they only recive -1/-1 for each damage recieved by infect (if they get 0 toughness they are killed)

so weird. they are called poison counters but do zero damage?

so if a 2/2 with infect attacks a player the player gets 2 poison counters and nothing else?

Right! but look it in an other way, if you play an infect deck, you only have to do 10 damage to your opponent (10 poison counters = lose)

Also MS, one thing that I think might be the most important thing ever: DO NOT (I repeat) DO NOT read text in Magic and think about similar things in Shadow Era and assume they work the same way. Because almost certainly, they do not.

You guys should hop on Magic Online and start playing Pauper. It's a format where the only legal cards are commons. It's a blast, really, and the most expensive deck you can build is under 50 bucks.
