Well, it generates shadow energy like Shadow Font but that's the only similarity. The Nexus Shadowcaller is a ally, meaning it can gain a bit of shadow energy if not focused, but at the same time it can die easily too, making it a tricky card to play. Unlike Shadow Font, which you can play whenever and still get the same use out of it, the Nexus Shadowcaller card has alot of different amounts of usefulness. It takes keen presicion to play in order to get the most help out of it.

What if it was only an Elemental ally (or warrior or whatever). That would make it unable to be completely spammed with MS

This concept is quite good, just would be to good with MS.
May be able to actually work quite well with elemenatlis, being able to constantly buff your allies.
