      Is anyone playing something else than Mages

      I know ... posting something about Mages in a strategy forum. a bit out of topic.
      I have a good laugh when I remember people saying they would be less present in 1.5.

      anyway, how to deal with them ? warriors ?

      With proper technique and skills mages are hard to kill but not impossible

      A Lance can work wonders if you have some spelleater binds. A solo Gwen can rip them apart. An Amber focusing on deathracing or focusing on Dimension Ripper both work very well too.

      I am playing majiya right now and my toughest matches are lance, amber and priests at times. A tough combo for mages to deal with is armored sandwurm with kings pride.

      I also like to play moonstalker and I fare ok against mages. They same can be said for banebow.

      In the end anyone can deal with them but certain matchups are more preferable.

      +1 I have just started to enter touneys and almost every match so far has been against a mage.

      Im playing my usual favourite Amber, plus 2 new heroes for me: lance and Maj. All 3 can handle mages effectively....but yes, there are a lot of Mages out there.

      Really? I think mages are quite easy to tech against. Hunters, Amber, Rogues have abilities that will make Mages sweat.

      Granted they are quite powerful, and maybe the most straightforward class to play but if you know you're facing mages, you should be able to beat them.

      I've had great success against mages with my Gwen deck, especially with Spell Eater in my deck. I've been trying out Logan recently and it's hit or miss versus a mage. Since he can't block their burn I use Dimension Ripper and with luck steal a fireball or two out of their deck.
