Could this be linked to Game Centre, my wifi has sometimes been unstable, but if clicking out of the SE app, wifi is usually ok.

At this point clicking back to the app will either do one of two things - no connection, so loose the game, the countdown timer unstoppable or -

Game centre will welcome me back and game will resume, I may delete Game centre as I've had a few random crashes since 1.5 has been released - every time wifi connection fine out of the App, so frustrating and it abused my rating every time

I also got this error once... and worst was that the game still put me as if I was searching for a game, so when I logged back in I was 'in game' against someone (but I could not enter the game) so I had to wait for a time out (and I lost rating) before I could start a new game.

Ps: I was playing on a Android tablet. (My computer was off so I could not have been logged in there)

Sigh. You don not get logged out when adjustments are being made to your account either.

With v1.5 a new security feature was implemented where only one session can be open for each account. Which essentially means you can only be logged into an account on one device. If you open up another browser window or tab and try to login to the same account, your other session will be logged out.

While I understand why this was implemented, it shouldn't be able kick the other session out during an active match.

From the reports, there seems to be some sort of issue. We'll try to look into it but personally, I haven't had much time to play v1.5 still and it looks like only a few people are experiencing this.

An old session should always be logged out rather than preventing a new session from logging in since this prevents the old session from locking out the new session or a bug locking you out of logging in.

I had the same problem today (two times). I was logged on at only one device. During a match I got the message, that I logged on at another device and my session ended. I will stop playing until this bug is fixed.

I experienced this several times as well. It happened on PC, Chrome browser. I'm playing the game with IRC on the same tab. I noticed it happens when I do the following usually:

1. lost connection on IRC.IRC is crappy, it kicks you out every now and then. You won't be able type anything on IRC though you seem to be logged into IRC.
2. refresh the page without logging out from the game
3. get server errors while trying to log back in to game. login eventually, maybe after a few more refreshes.
4. at a random time after a few minutes, the error comes up saying "this account was logged in on another device", you're logged out.
5. it sometimes happens while you're about to start a game which I believe makes you lose rating if it's not custom.

Strangely, that also sound logical. (at least when it's applied to my wife)

Back to OP: it happened to me too. I thought one of my BP members was logging into my account: I offered one of my alt for BP's use. As it turns out, no one logged in.
