Aiming to be an "Entertainment Art" artist for games like Shadow Era, art inside :)

Hello my friends!

So I have been playing Shadow Era for quite a while now. As usual I was drawn to the game initially because I saw that great artwork being done for the cards, and I am always a sucker for anything with great fantasy art! As a bonus, the game rocks and I am pretty much addicted to it now, lol.

I am currently finishing one of the art programs at the local college, and I thought it would be a good time to start posting some of my artwork here in order to get feedback from people who also play the game, and possibly some of the staff too. I have worked as an illustrator and also as a designer before, but my goal is to do freelance work for games and / or film.

Here is my latest painting, just completed this morning in fact. Any feedback on it is appreciated. Do you guys think I have what it takes to do artwork for Wulven? As I complete more paintings I will post here, and when I get some time I will post some other stuff that I did in the past. If you like my work let me know, if you have constructive criticism please feel free to leave that too! Thanks for looking, see you in game

No worries, It was well worth the effort!

That's very impressive, The rider with flaming sword would make a nice avatar......

I'm not quite sure if it's exactly in keeping with the current artwork, lacking a little realism perhaps, which would be imperative, but it looks amazing and you certainly have the talent.

Maybe officially asking for some direction on what could be needed artwise would be worthwhile, A PM to AnAdolt or Kyle even a suggestion worth considering.

That's pretty good; way better than anything I could ever do. Comments coming from me on this have little stock though since the art is mainly decided by Kyle and some influence by the Design Team.

If you haven't licensed your pieces out to anywhere, I think it's best to build up your profile. Maybe you could collaborate with the fan site, Shadow Era Unleash or something.

AnAdolt, I will definitely check that site out, and continue adding artwork to this thread if that's cool. The work I post has not been licensed, it is all done at this point in order to put a portfolio together.

More than anything I want to work for a company like Wulven. It will happen, just watch! And thanks for commenting
