(In-Progress) Crown(10) Tournament - Five Classes - v1.3x

A few people in the Shadow Era community have established a reputation as a "Master" or "Specialist" at a certain Hero class.

Here are a few examples:

Soothslyr and Manbane - Priest
iClipse and Rayzie - Hunter
Raphael Majere - Warrior
Wtzky and GDC - Mage
Jjsia and Barcafan - Elemental
CodeDomination and Drakkon - Wulven

But, are we versatile with several Hero classes in v1.3x? Can we play and win outside of our comfort zone? Could you win a tourney using FIVE different decks, using FIVE different Hero classes? We shall find out!

The Crown(10) Tournament - Five Classes

This tourney will test players deck building skills and versatility playing various heroes. The winner of this tourney will have successfully used FIVE different decks, using FIVE different hero classes.

RULES, INSTRUCTIONS, AND INFORMATION 1. HERO CLASS RESTRICTIONS:

• Each round, players must use a DIFFERENT deck from a DIFFERENT HERO CLASS.
• The seven Hero classes are...Mage, Warrior, Wulven, Hunter, Elemental, Rogue, and Priest.
• When a player wins a round, the Hero class used by the winning player must not be used by that player for the rest of the this tournament.
• Examples:
  
  • In round 1, Bob123 wins with an Eladwen deck. For the rest of the tourney, Bob123 is restricted from using another Mage deck. For rounds 2, 3, 4, and 5, Bob123 is restricted from using Eladwen, Majiya, Gravebone, or Nishaven. If Bob123 using another Mage deck during the tournament, he will be disqualified.
  • In round 2, Bob123 wins using an Amber deck. For the rest of the tourney, Bob123 is restricted from using another Mage and Warrior deck. In rounds 3, 4, and 5, Bob123 is restricted from using Eladwen, Majiya, Gravebone, Nishaven, Amber, Boris, Ter Adun, and Logan. If Bob123 uses another Mage or Warrior deck during the tournament, he will be disqualified.
  
  

2. GENERAL RULES:

• Participation in this event will take up a lot of time. It requires players be reasonably available to play a various times of the day. If you are not flexible to play at various time or have a very busy life schedule, please do not apply.
• All matches will be played on v1.3x test server. You must have access to the test server to participate
• Applicants must state their IGN for rating verification. If an applicants rating is unverifiable, it will be counted as 0. Seeding will be based on rating - number of forum posts will determine the tie breaker.
• Accepting a maximum of 32 participants only.
• Players may NOT change any cards in-between any game in a best of three match. Players are required to play an entire match with the exact same cards you used in game 1 of a match.
• Cheaters (those caught changing cards in-between games)will be disqualified and banned from all future Crown/TJ hosted tournaments. If you suspect cheating, make a formal report and PM it to Tournament Organizer.
• All matches will be best of three. Alternate who goes first in games 1 and 2. Let fate decide who goes first in game 3.
• Players are required to contact their opponent and schedule a time to play their match before the match deadline.
• Players will have up to 48 hours to complete each round (see tournament schedule). If a player does not respond to schedule the match, does not show up for the scheduled match or does not try to reschedule, this counts as a forfeit loss.
• If a player is disconnected during the game, that counts as a loss.
• If there is a sync/freeze error or draw, game will be replayed.

3. C7 RNB RULES v1.3:

• Reasonably Noticeable Bug (RNB) - an error, flaw, mistake, failure, or fault in the Shadow Era computer program that produces an incorrect or unexpected result, or causes a game action to behave in unintended ways. It is capable to be noticed by both players during a game and by an official ref during replay.
• At any point during the game, either player (or official ref watching game live) may point out a bug, describe what they believe to be an error, and request draw. The player may accept or decline draw request. If draw request is accepted, game will be replayed.
• If opponent disagrees a bug occurred, and no official ref is present to verify if a bug occurred, both players must continue and play the game out. After the game, either players may seek counsel of an official ref to review the game to determine if a bug occurred. The official ref will determine if a bug occurred. If official ref verifies a bug occurred, game will be replayed. If official ref sees no bug occurred, original results of game will be considered valid.
• If a reasonably noticeable bug is confirm to have occurred during a game, but both players failed to notice, all requests for a replay are denied after the conclusion of the game. All requests for a replay due to reasonably noticeable bug errors must be made during game. If a game is completed and no claims are made during game, results of the game are final.
• If the last action of a game is a reasonably noticeable bug, causing the game to suddenly end unexpectedly, game will be replayed.
• If a player intentionally produces a SE confirmed bug, they forfeit any request for a replay due to the bug intentionally produced.
• For bugs that are easily reproducible, players are asked to refrain from intentionally producing the bug (if possible) or not to included the cards that produce bugs from their decklist. See bug thread for more information on confirmed bugs.
• Players who intentionally or unintentionally produce bugs may be disqualified based on Tournament Organizer's discretion.
• Due to the bug concerning Ghostmaker and Kristopher Wyld, a player who exploit the Ghostmaker and Kristopher Wyld bug will be disqualified. If a player recurses a Kristopher Wyld, that player must NOT attack with it during that same turn. Attacking with a recurses Kristopher Wyld during that same turn will result in a disqualification.

4. REPORTING RULES:

• Winning player is required to submit match results
• When reporting match results, the winning player must state Hero class used.
• Report result in this thread.

• Any other match disputes or concerns should be send via PM to Tournament Organizer

5. REGISTRATION:

• Registration will open to the first 16 applicants on Saturday, February 18, 12:00 PM (noon) GMT+0
• Once the first 16 applicants are filled, registration will be closed...and will reopen 12 hours later.
• Registration will re-open to fill any remain spots on Sunday, February 19, 00:00 AM (midnight) GMT+0
• Once the first 32 applicants are filled, all remaining registrations will be placed on a waiting list.

6. PAIRINGS AND SEEDING:

• Pairings and seeding will be based on ratings on LIVE server (not ratings on test server). Brackets will follow a "traditional" tournament setup. #1 vs #32, #2 vs #31, #3 vs #30 etc.
• If there is a tie in ratings, the tie-breaker will be decided by the player with higher amount of forum posts.
• Example: Bicin and Raph are both rated at 207. Bicin has 799 forum posts. Raph has 1700. Therefore, Raph will be given the higher seed over Bicin.

7. SCHEDULE:

• Round 1 Deadline: Thursday, Feb 23, 23:59 GMT
• Round 2 Deadline: Saturday, Feb 25, 23:59 GMT
• Round 3 Deadline: Monday, Feb 27, 23:59 GMT
• Round 4 Deadline: Wednesday, Feb 29, 23:59 GMT
• Finals Deadline: Friday, March 2, 23:59 GMT
• Round deadline extension may be given at Tournament Organizer discretion. A players may request for a deadline extension on this thread.

8. PRIZES:

• 1st Place: 2000 Shadow Crystals
• 2nd Place: 1000 Shadow Crystals
