Why does PotL heal at full hp but other do not?

As title says, I am curious as to why Priest of the Light heals ABOVE the hero's maximum HP upon being summoned when other abilities (Zhanna, Soul Seeker, etc) do not? Is this intended? It seems like programming issues to me and either all should heal above hero's max HP or none should.

Gain = Bonus health, goes over the maximum.
Heal = Restores lost health, does NOT go over the maximum.

+1 Keep in mind Honored Dead also provides health gain as opposed to healing

So, this increases your maximum HP, right? Meaning if I play a Priest of the Light to bring Zhanna to 27, then she goes down to 24 from damage, she can heal back up to 27, right?

And if that's the case, how are we supposed to keep track of this sort of thing in the physical game? Will there be something on the health dials (or whatever type of counter we end up getting) to indicate the hero's max health? (Since it won't always be the number that's printed on the hero's card . . .)

Yes, it increases your maximum life value. In terms of the physical game, you can easily track this using paper and pencil Here is an example:

    26/26 - Game Starts
    27/27 - Play PotL
    24/27 - Damaged for 3 hp

Basically, just keep track of both your current health and your maximum health!

I played a game with jericho where I played several PoTL and later on I healed with healing touch to go up to 30. So yes it does work this way, I also agree it can be a bit tricky to keep track if you play a lot of these cards.

Is there an explanation on heal / gain in the cards itself, btw? There should be if there is the space, ala other abilities like stealth, ambush, etc. This would clear up a lot of things.
