Death Mage Thaddeus + Surprise Attack [fixed]

I have not seen this in open bugs then there is a possible bug:

Description: When Death Mage Thaddeus deals damage with his ability (0: Deal 2 damage to target) and it's pump with hunter's ability Surprise Attack (... whenever this ally deals damage, draw a card) i'm not draw a card. If Surprise Attack said (... whenever this ally deals attack damage, draw a card),would be well, but it's generic damage.

Platform: PC

Version: Current PC Version

Steps to reproduce: Just use Surprise Attack in Death Mage Thaddeus and use his abilitty (0: Deal 2 damage to target) to add no new card to hand
