1.310 Test Server Challenge (with prize)

1.310 is now on the test server.

Here is your challenge:

Who can rack up the most victories in a row against unique opponents?

How do you take part?

You find an opponent on irc and play two games (one going first, one going second) with a single deck. If you win 2-0, your streak has started. If it's 1-1 then your streak is not lost but not extended. If you lose 2-0 then your streak is over and you need to start a new one.

Then you find a DIFFERENT opponent. You are free to change your deck between opponents.

The longest streak will win someone 2000SC. (Won by GreatOldOne)

Whoever plays the most different opponents will win 1000SC. (Won by SolarWind)

This challenge runs up to the start of the Solarwind tournament (Saturday 11th Feb 5pm GMT).

PLEASE REPORT RESULTS AS FOLLOWS:

Make ONE post on this thread and progressively update it with your results. I can then easily see the winner at the end. Be sure to give name of your opponent and which hero you used and they used. If you can also rate each match-up from 1-10 for enjoyment that will be very useful.

If you want to see if some hero still has a balance issue wouldn't be better if you don't allow hero changes during one streak? ._.

If you're winning, are you going to change hero?

I want people to play whatever they think will win matches for them. If you want to change hero then that's fine and tells us something.

No. The test server is only accessible by web browser on Mac and PC.

The live release is not too far away now though.

Off to a slow start and then stuck with ties. Damn.

It's looking like Serena is a hard counter to Priests (not just judging from these games, I've played many others). Or maybe everything is a hard counter to Priests (except that crappy Nish I made). Though maybe I'm wrong, since a lot of the Priest games have ended up being competitive.

* The ones that I didn't grade as highest fun were:

1. An accident where I went in with a clown-around deck I didn't like (I was lucky to steal a game in that match).
2. The Boris

game, which just felt like a terribly uncompetitive hero-- as bad as playing the AI.
3. Ter Adun

vs Zal. Terrible, terrible matchup. Even easier than grinding the AI. I really think Ter's ability needs to have an added twist to it for when people don't play items against him.
