Just wondering, but is there anyone else who finds it a bit ... lacking?
I mean, with MTG I find it piques my interest in the actual universe that the cards are set in and it, well, makes for nice flavour. I mean take for example my Indomitable Archangel, it says:
"Every sword drawn to defend is an angelic blade, guided to justice by an angelic hand." - Auriok proverb
Now something like that I find interesting, and inspires me to learn more about what the Auriok actually are. On the other hand, you have Shadow Era (I mean I love the game, but still) with say, the Plasma Behemoth which just says:
"Wow, that thing is biiiig."
Now that doesn't make me curious or even remotely interested in the card at all. I'm not sure if it's just because the lore around SE hasn't really been built much, but I just generally find the flavour text uninspiring, and frankly, quite dull. There's nothing wrong with humourous flavour (MTG does this too, take Foul Imp for example), but .... yeah, I'm rambling.
Opinions?
