Physical Cards are Good for Kids!

I was mulling over the different options for physical cards on the order home page (http://www.wulven.com/cards.php) a minute ago. I couldn't decide on which, if any, of the options were right for me. I was comparing prices and what you get for each, a lot like how I pick out my salsa at the grocery store. I imagined myself opening the cards and ... then what. It was at that moment that I had a great epiphany. Physical cards are good for kids. Aren't you glad I didn't make you wait too long to tie in the thread name?

Bear with me here. I know that a lot of the fanatical collectors on here will have their cards in sleeves and in tins before the sun goes down on the day they receive them. A small fraction of the deranged here may even know each other in real life, terrifying I know, and be able to get together for some games. An even smaller fraction, I hope, will be carrying their Aeons and Jasmines into their special alone time place for... alone time. Where does that leave the rest of us? Well if you've been lucky enough to multiply like I have, you can share your cards with your kids! Please keep reading to find out how I intend to do that. If none of the above scenarios apply to you then I can only assume that you have no passion for your hobbies, you don't know anyone, you don't masturbate and nobody has allowed you to reproduce. I'm sorry you suck and you also can't read my thread, please close your browser.

The first thing that comes to mind is to teach your kids to play the game. This is the ideal situation. However, I can tell you from experience that kids are stupid, annoying, impatient, and mean. These are not the attributes that I like to see in my opponent, especially if they are sitting across from me at a table. I recommend attempting to teach your kids to play in any case. The amount of math alone to make it through a single game should go a long way to improving your child's arithmetic scores.

Open the cards with the kids. This is a good one. Kids have a great sense of wonderment with anything new that comes out of shiny packaging. They will be elated to see even their sixth fire snake come out of a booster. Ask the kids which cards they think are the coolest and laugh when they pick all the crap ones. Find out if your child thinks Dirk can beat a Brutal Minotaur, laugh when he says yes, then work out how a Dirk really could beat a Minotaur on his turn out with added abilities. Fun for the whole family.

If all you wanted was the crystals and the cards are an extra bonus, give the kids the cards. Watch them make games up and try to eat the cards. Who doesn't want to almost kill themselves by slipping on a Portal card, realize the irony in the situation, yell at the kids for leaving the cards in the floor, then feel guilty about it later? Not me. I don't not want that to happen.

If not for Kyle, if not for the developers, if not for Wulven, if not for yourself or Jesus, buy physical cards for the kids.

    Do it for the children.

There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
    There are people dying
And its time to lend a hand to life
    The greatest gift of all

We can't go on pretending day by day
That someone, somehow will soon make a change
We are all a part of Gods great big family
    And the truth, you know,
    Love is all we need

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
    So lets start giving
    There's a choice we're making
    We're saving our own lives
Its true we'll make a better day
    Just you and me

Send them your heart so they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stones to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
    So lets start giving
    There's a choice we're making
    We're saving our own lives
Its true we'll make a better day
    Just you and me

When you're down and out, there seems no hope at all
But if you just believe there's no way we can fall
Let us realize that a change can only come
When we stand together as one

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
    So lets start giving
    There's a choice we're making
    We're saving our own lives
Its true we'll make a better day
    Just you and me

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
    So lets start giving
    There's a choice we're making
    We're saving our own lives
Its true we'll make a better day
    Just you and me

Entertaining read. My daughter will probably play when I get my cards. She is a fan of Dimension Ripper and Bad Santa.

    This was hilarious.
I made pumpkins! Firesnake and Plasma Behemoth.
    I daydream about cards too.

Not true, true collectors will clearly be opening their cards at night time in order to minimise the exposure of the cards to UV rays

I'm not investing in the physical form of this game. It seems like a poor choice with the disorganziation. I'm worried about the updates and how they will correlate with the cards. It's not like magic where a new set is release every so often, the developers are actually going in and changing the text on cards and even abilites. I don't see how this is going to work. Just seems like a lot of people had paychecks burning a whole in their pockets. Not to mention the fact that the update isn't even on time...I want this game to be great, but it seems rushed

Didn't they say something about not changing a set after finalizing it(which they have in V. 1.30)?
