Physical Boosters and Heroes

If someone really wants a hero, they can buy a starter deck... which they likely will have done anyways to get the basic commons needed to fill it out. Everyone who plays is going to end up with a massive stack of completely useless heroes (duplicates, or even just heroes they don't use). I guess we can put them in our bicycle spokes to make noise. :P

i propose an idea that works like MTG: ad cards. you know, the little piece of crap at the end of the pack that about half the time, has nothing useful on it and is fun just to flick around?

in MTG, they add these cards so that the packs have an extra slot to fill up just in case. should a pack have a foil card, or a token card, or a land, the ad card is ommited, and that card takes its place. so it's really more like X Commons, Y Uncommons, Z Rares/Epics, and 1 slot that either has nothing, "flood" cards, as i call them, or something unique. that way, you not only have a place to put the hero flood so that people don't get swamped with 20 heroes, just by buying 20 packs, but you also have a way to fit in those foil cards you have. you know, a small chance

No, you're wrong. A foil card replaces a common. The slot you're talking about either is a token card or an ad card as you named it.

you get what i'm saying. since SE doesn't use token cards YET (hint hint...), then the slot can be used for things like heroes, among other stuff. who knows what the crowdsourcing project's NEXT level will bring? maybe something else that could utilize such a spot.

(ugh, the more i think about it, the more disgusted i get at myself for not realizing the foil card replaces a common, it doesn't add one.)

In my opinion, I'd rather have an infinite number of Heroes than a piece of paper that does nothing for building my deck. So unless the ad card is either a code for something in digital format (small amount of Shadow Crystals, Alternative Art card, rare/unique card, etc.) OR a Hero, I still would prefer for my original suggestion.

i never said the ad card would have to such in SE. i just said thats what they did in MTG. there's a whole slew of things it could possibly be. pretty much everything you stated, plus more. that's the whole rationale about it - it's either make heroes a permanent, guaranteed slot, that floods the purchasers, or make it a versatile slot, that MOSTLY is heroes, but could also be one of many other things if you're lucky.
