I lost a lot and ecpecialu because of AOA
When you go up in rating this strategy is more inconsistent facing strong players
I played it when i was rating 165 and it was tough.....
But i like the idea so much and i was trying to modify to make it better....lost a lot of rating ha ha

It was great to see a few of these decks and variations around after I posted it. Did anyone have any success or find a better card set to use?

I'm working on a solo DR Amber(with the IRC guys helping me out) and it has so far been kinda decent. Not enough games to actually know anything but I haven't get stomped by anything so far.

    Basically:
    4 Dimension Ripper
    4 Rusty Longsword
    3-4 Dual Wield

    I also run:
    4x Rain Delay
    4x Crippling Blow
    4x Retreat

These are not going to be a threat to me if my opponent gets them because I run no allies(read: 0). I don't want to post the full deck as of yet because tweaks are still being made.

The first Dimension Ripper deck I tried was without allies. The problem you will face there is that the biggest threat to this style is a deck with over 50% allies so you are making it a very good chance that you will be getting mostly allies from their deck while they will be getting ally counter cards meaning you are drawing dead cards. I played a match yesterday against a DR Amber and absolutely slaughtered her because I got:

    2 x Dual Wield
    1 x Rampage
    1 x Dimension Ripper
1 x The King's Pride (didn't even need it as I used Violet Thunderstorm for extra draw)
    1 x Enrage
    1 x Retreat
    1 x Crippling Blow
    1 x Smashing Blow
    1 x Lily Rosecult
1 x War Banner (which oddly enough got Misplaced back into my hand?)
... and a few other weenies.

I didn't keep track of what she took from my deck, other than the Lily I retreated back to my hand to dig up a Dimension Ripper, but I didn't see much of it used maybe a couple of Puwen were mine.

She didn't draw any of her cards by the last few turns of the match except when using a Bad Santa because I was filling her hand with my garbage before the start of every turn, of which she had cast Blood Frenzy turn two.

The biggest problem with DR decks is that there are some very key cards you do not want your opponent to get listed below and the only way to prevent it every match is to exclude them:

    Enrage
    Rampage
    The King's Pride
    Snow Sapphire
    Smashing Blow
    Bad Santa
several allies such as Armored Sandworm (even if they can be retreated it's situational)

My favourite card in this deck is Violet Thunderstorm for sure, and if I had known about the glitch before making it I would have named the deck Shit-storm. Rather than using health buffs this armour helps you take defensive kills while reducing damage and stockpiling their cards. If they happened to get one of yours they will use it to limit hero damage (and wasting 6 resources that could have been used to empty their hand preventing card block) to which you then trade two cards per strike with DR. Alternatively, they may be stupid enough to use one of your DR and hit you with Violet thunderstorm attached. Hitting a Hero with Violet Thunderstorm and DR equipped with your DR will trade 3 cards.

Oh wow, I just noticed a change in Misplaced sending the item back into it's "controller's" hand now and not the owner's hand. Might have to put this back into my deck again.

Jaqui's Recent Hammer deck has inspired me to renew this deck for the latest version, so here it is!

The strategy still remains the same. Fill your opponents hand with garbage they can't use and blocking draw whilst stealing their good cards and smacking them in the face. (OP Updated)

    1 x Amber Rain

    (0 allies)

    4 x Crippling Blow
    3 x Shield Bash
    4 x Retreat
    4 x Rain Delay
    4 x Bad Santa
    2 x Nowhere To Hide
    2 x Enslave the Beast
2 x Curse of the Aldmor
    2 x Vision of Endia
    (27 abilities)

    4 x Bazaar
    4 x Reserve Weapon
    4 x Dimension Ripper
    (12 items)
    Shallow Era Channel and Blog
    Enhancing The Community, etc.
