@Kyle: Which version of the game will be printed on the cards? The current version, or the final version after the full first set is released?

Also, if I order today, how soon will they ship out? Around when could I expect to receive them? (I live in the US)

If I got it right, I think that it should be: give the crystals right after the payment and ship the cards when they are ready.

Yes, that makes sense. However, I would like to hear this confirmed before I order anything, especially since there are already physical cards from a previous set with outdated text printed on them.

Hopefully the text and abilities are the ones with the finalized first set

Of course, you are right too!
But... I think it would be silly to print old text when they are putting so much effort in completing the set and tweaking old cards.
As Danae reported here, the current version of the physical cards is only for test: I do hope (and I'm almost sure, or I would doubt about their IQ :P ) they will make the complete set with final version of cards.

Is that a starter in the video?
I notice some cards different from when I got the Human Mage starter, Rosecult Sisters, Supernova, Sentinel.

I know Heroes come in boosters, do the other starter cards? I am debating if I should just get boosters and make a deck out of them or add starters in too.

I'm thinking these'll be finalized after the PFG makes all their changes final, and only then printed? Because after that, the cards won't be changed anymore. I love the initiative though. I hope you guys can pull it of!

Yes, these will be the finalised 200 cards, after the balancing has happened.

That also implies though that no further changes will be done on the base set eh? Because then you'd need to reprint any altered card.
